Wren: Remember on this thread back a week or so ago, you were talking about your Selenicereus having roots coming out of the top? I meant to take a picture and post it of my Selenicereus (Ric Rac Orchid Cactus) and forgot. Check out all of the aerial roots on this thing! I need to repot this guy!

Whew may be it needs more water.

Yes, I need to repot it .. it is totally rootbound and it dries out rather quickly! I think instead of another hanging basket, I might transplant it to a regular pot with a trellis of some kind to let it climb.

I think that will work,or instead maybe a tube of wire with moss or something in it. Or take the bark pot and roll it up into a tube and use it.
I have two King Midas and I just found info that they do better in a pot or with a trellis.

I am trying to add info on the epis I own into my files. I also made a wish list-------And can you believe that there is a couple of hundred epis on the list.LOL. Dad is still in the hospital so my work on repoting has slowed down but the squirrels are leaving everything alone, except the can that the bird seeds in it .

the Hoya group has been chatting recently on Semi Hydro Hoyas which lead to my idea to try this out on some epi cuttings that are not growing. Its best to read that thread than me try to paraphrase it: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/904153/ .

that is very interesting. Let us know what happens when you try it. Right now with dad in the ICU I do not have time but I know it works on some things. And I did go to one of those 1970's plant party and I hate to tell y'all but it was house plants. I think we get something called a ming tree(????)
