Hello Jenks seems were in the same neck of the georgia woods. Can you send a pic here of them or a better description of them.
Heres a wild color dove does it look like this??
The baby pigeons are here!
Yes you are! :D Nice to meet you, Harmony, my friends call me Jenks & my birth name is Alecia. Yes they did look like that - one lighter - (like that one). Everyone said they were white, but they were pinkish grey tinged and one darker - I think they have moved on, but if they are still here tomorrow I will get photos of them.
OH i thought they were in a cage :)
Nope! They were newcomers and odd ones at that.....
Holy cow! I would have NEVER guessed that those babies were pigeons! Their beaks are like FULL size when they are born! Wow...they don't look anything like what they grow up to be. I used to have a ring necked dove that was very similar looking to your pigeon. She was as precious as her name...."Precious" :)
Good luck with your new babies!

Thanks music and love your name they are so ugly when they are little but they grow up to be beautiful birds.
first feeding went well its gullest is ice and full and squshiy
Goooo Momma-Josh! Keep us posted. That sounds really difficult...
i got this o-ring syringe which is making it ok
Oh my. So they have to grow into their beaks and eyes?
Btw, Har, we won't post on that other thread until you say we can...you warned us off, remember?
I like the snuggley pic bestest.
It's okay now to go to the other thread
Awwwwww.....widdle biddie pijjie wijjies....sooooo cute! It's so cool to see those dark feathers coming in!
I think the second pic of them absolutely looks like they are smiling. Must be all comfy in your hand Harmony!
Baby Peace is adorable, but has to get busy growing some feathers! I think he's slacking off because mom keeps him so nice and warm!
Hi everyone.
I would like to ask if anyone has ever hatched pigeons in an incubator? And if so, could you describe your experience please?
Thanks
CS
Isn't that what Josh did? Josh?
If I missed a post on hatching baby pigeons, I apologize--I just found and joined this forum. Wonderful information. I am especially interested in building my own incubator. I have a Hova-bator but it does not keep very good stable temperature. I am planning on building a frame for it, and insulating the whole thing with pink insulation. Hopefully, that will take care of the problem.
I have been wanting to buy some racing pigeons but the prices have been beyond my budget. So, I thought if I can find good info on raising baby pigeons, I would try to buy some eggs for hatching.
Been raising baby chickens since I was a little girl, with my Mom's help, and also I have raised Budgies for years.
Thank you everyone, for your help and information.

Josh who is on vacation right now :0)--said he was raising his from the incubator, feeding it every three hours with some kind of artificial pigeon milk--called "wambaroo milk" or something. But he is Australian. So I think it can be done but it is high maintenance. Probably no worse than Budgies once you get the right formula.
Has anyone else done it?
Handfeeding baby budgies is hard, frustrating and sometimes heartbreaking work. But, a person gets a pet bird that will sit on a person's shoulder all day long if they are allowed to.
I have raised budgies for years but now, I am planning on hanging up the net and moving on to something else. The birds I have now will live here until they die as I haven't planned on selling them. But, once these birds go that's it. No more budgies.
I hatched out some Serama chickens and boy are they cute. The roo's are trying to crow already at just 2 1/2 months. They sound like someone is trying to gag them. I hope the hens will mature just as fast as I am wanting eggs. The Black roo I have, tried to peck me this morning. hehehe, little devil anyway.
I am looking into finding some Wyandotte hatching eggs to raise for fresh eggs to eat. I can't eat the store bought ones. Last time I bought store bought eggs, I got so sick on them. I haven't bought anymore since. yuck.
Have a great day everyone.

Awww....Harmony they are soooo sweet! Look at all the color on them now! And the color on Peace is really starting to show up. Fabulous photos! Where is Baby Claire?
CS it is possible to hatch a pigeon egg actualy it is as easy as a chicken egg the hard part is raising them once they conect u with food it gets a lot more less time consuming.
i just hatched a baby pigeon but i went away and it died while i was gone. i think it is possible but u have to do regular feedings and not mess with it time table as i did.
if u have any other question just tell me i know my reply isnt very big.sorry.
Josh
TY Luckycharm1, Josh.
I have raised baby budgies, aka parakeets for many years so raising some pigeons shouldn't be any harder than that.
I am still having bator issues. My Hovabator just will NOT hold the heat right. I finished the frame and put some rolled up towels around the sides of the bottom of it as I don't want to block off the air flow. I also put two small strips on the bottom of the frame to sit the /bator on to make sure that air would flow naturally. Now it's too hot. I have to admit I wish I could just trash the stupid thing and get another one. But, I can't right now as I have some Wyandotte eggs due in tomorrow.
Harmony, your little babies look so darn cute. Anyone know where I could buy some Homer pigeon eggs??? hehehehee
Have a great rest of the day everyone. :D
