I've been sitting in front of the keyboard for ten minutes trying to find a way to describe my failure as a scientist.
Best to just get it overwith.
I was in the kitchen at my usual time (6: am) drinking coffee at the breakfast bar, the brahma eggs fresh from yesterday morning whipped in a bowl on the center island. My bagels sitting in the toaster ready, fruit already cut and drzzled with lemon.
I heard the water turn off ten minutes earlier (our water pipes groan), so I knew Sweets would be down soon. I was having a hard time keeping my grin controled, but when Sweets came in smelling all flowery and looking so pretty, guilt took care of it imediatley.
She commented on how good everything looked and on how hungry she was ( grin reappeared). I immediatley started the eggs and depressed the toaster.
When everything was ready I set all on the table with her help.We sat down and started serving ourselves. making small talk discussing our plans for the day. To my delight she took a huge serving of eggs! I was waiting anxiousley, it seemed as if she took forever to set everything right her napkin in her lap, her coffee stirred forever, juice poured slowley into a glass. I could feel my teeth gritting together with impatience. She tried the fruit first."MMMMM" she said I reminded her the eggs were getting cold. She took a sip of coffee,"mmmmm" She smiled at me " Yes don't they look good" she said. With a big grin on my face I said "yes don't they".
With a bigger grin she pulled the garlic salt out from behind the napkin holder and gleefulley sprinkled her eggs laughing histerically in some sort of comic horror show imitation.
I about choked on my eggs.
I'VE BEEN HAD!!!!!. Aparentley she reads the threads at the office!
I ate the eggs and detected a slight difference in the flavor, but the way she was slinging the garlic salt around it could easily have ended up in my eggs.
My appoligies to everyone who so wanted serious results.
