WYN, you are not an idiot. there is nothing wrong with the way you think.
i will send daddy out looking
۞ Lingernot/Staynot Gladomeer # 6 ۞
Whew!! I didn't know how I would ever make up for all the evil thoughts I was wishing to befall certain thieves!
Daddy's awesome, Jordankittyjo! Handsome bloke! Hopefully, he can find a couple of eyes to spit in!!
;-)
Assault by air, land and mudpuddles--- wow! We got this earth covered!
BeaHive, please tell Ernie not to give up. He can always climb on Ally Gator!
Now Sis, you can't send out those precious newborn chicks!! We'll end up sending out a search party after them!!
Whew... hold on Daddy, hold that spit till you find the culprit!
Errr.. Sally, great idea to have a gnome musician to buoy the spirits of the search party. Shouldn't the other gnome be taking this seriously.. or is he assuring everyone, no need to worry, Lingernot will soon show up?
Yes, this is scary. Fun has turn to worry. This here is based on trust. On one of the round robins, an heirloom cookbook goes missing too.
So, most likely the next time, to ensure warranty that things go smoothly, our DNA should be submitted----if ever there would be a next time??? Still in all, I have faith in most DGers here.
This is definitely hampering my writing an article efforts.
Yellow fairy is quite upset and worried about Lingernot and Staynot.
She is sooooooo sad. :( She was first looking forward to Staynots visit and was hoping to meet Lingernot this month in Oregon. Now, it is uncertain if they will ever meet. She has been wearing her best dress and hair ribbons for them to make a good impression. I asked her today to change into her everyday clothes and give me the dress to throw into the laundy. She refused!!! She said she won't until she knows Staynot and Lingernot are safe. I can't blame her..but it is getting real dirty and pardon me...stinky.
Gnome Nappers..please...please..please.. release the Gnomes and let them continue on their journey!!!!
Interesting web sight

The Guardians are not happy to hear of the plight of your gnomes........
heavenscape....you'll have to forgive the wee lad, he's a bit young and the fairies have quite an effect on him. But when he is needed, he will clear his head and get to work.
My Gosh, Daddy (I agree, Handsome Bloke), the Guardians and the Ancient Ones. With that formidable group, we must prevail!!
I think I am about ready to give up on travelling gnomes. Their adventures are fun, but when they disappear after a few visits it is too heartbreaking.
We might have to form a "members only" group of people you trust. Only those members can join next time.
I feel so responsible for Lingernot's missing. Don't know which forum Barhea frequents, but if anyone reading this and knows her, please let her know.
I won't hear of that, Heavenscape!! You are NOT responsible, one shred.
YOU pampered Ling as if your own child. Field trips, good food, friendly introductions to pals and neighbors!
The very epitome of cordiality! True honor to your upbringing. Be proud, indeed.
Now, as for others ...... !!??!!
You were the perfect Tante, Jaye!!!! Don't even let your might go there. I do miss them--any leads on Staynot yet? Lingernot where are you sweet guy?
{{{Jaye}}}
It is in no way any fault of yours!! Oh my, I loved watching Lingernots adventures (and dining too) with his Auntie Jaye. I agree with Willie, be very proud of your hospitality :o)
???? Are you all saying the 2nd gnome is lost???
If so please skip me and I will just watch to see if they ever show up again. I can't stand the stress. Groan

Heavenscape, it is in no way your fault. You did your part perfectly.
I always fear the worse that something terrible has happened to these people. I saw something in the DG forum about putting the name of another DGer who has your personal information in your profile in the event you go missing. That's a pretty good idea in this situation!
Still trying to think positive, but it's getting harder. I just hope both of them are safe and being well cared for.
I looked out on threads that she had started and they hadn't had any post of sometime. I wonder as some others did; have we become a place where that group of gnome nappers are praying on our little friends? I went to the site that BeaHive posted above and it says they do things like this.
Well another thing has popped up.....
There is a swap called "Cute Critters" and thread #5 is the current I believe. Some of you that are on this are on it, and it has barhea7 too. She came through with a swap on it. I wonder if she got confused and though this was a swap and someone sent her Lingernot and friends to keep??

I sent barhea7 a d-mail with a link to this forum..with a reminder
to get lingernot back on the road. Perhaps others can send barhea7 a reminder too! :)

Very good, I sent a request asking her to put Lingernot on his travels again. Let's hope it all works.
The ancient one (including photo) d-mailed her requesting that Lingernot continue his journey.
Now, who is going to make sure she goes to her computer and signs on to DG?
Hi all those who are looking for Lingernot. I got a D-mail from Barhea7 on Oct. 5th asking me to verify my address, but nothing has come so far. I will keep my eyes glued to the mailman hoping Lingernot comes soon. I'm wanting him to meet some of my gnomes.
Pegi
Fingers crossed here!
Pegi..sure hope he makes it to your home soon. Hope he did not have to stay in the box this whole time. Good luck!
Oh wouldn't that be wonderful. Lingernot being found and at another home!!! Eagerly awaiting news of his arrival.
Heavenscape had added in her post back in Sept. to d-mail the person Lingernot was supposed to go to to verify the address, which Bre did. I thought I would be getting him by now. As soon as he arrives, or not, I'll let you all know. Hate to think of that little guy wrapped in a box for so long, needs nourishment & drink.
Pegi
And companions!! All alone in a dark box...... he's going to need extra TLC for sure. And maybe some counseling.
Lingernot did not arrive today, was going to take him to Lowe's while I bought a new rake, potting soil, and a couple marked down plants. Oh yes, I did find some orchid moss so now I'm ready for doing some gardening. I hate to see him spend more time in a box. Will report on Monday after the mail runs and hoping I have some good news.
Hi, it's me again, and have a little information on Lingernot. Doesn't sound too good, but here goes. According to post office, got tracking number from top of thread and discovered that it was delivered at 9:39 AM on Sept. 29th in Sellersville, Pa. 18960. Now that's a long way from Norwalk, Ca. Now what are we supposed to do?? I feel bad that he is out there all alone.
Need to add that is Barhea7 city and state. Do you think I should D-mail her and ask about him?

You can try to D-mail, but I have not see any response to the one I sent on the 14th. This is all to strange!!
Poor Lingernot!
I sent a D-mail to Barhea7 and told her I checked the tracking number and what info was given to me. Strange the t.number said Sept 25 and her letter to me on Oct. 5th said she was getting ready to send him to me. Well, see if I get an answer and solve this mystery. Oh, Lingernot so sorry you are caught in traffic somewhere between Pa. and Ca. Hope you find your way to me soon.
Pegi
Poor little guy, I hope he is located soon!!!
Oh my gosh, this is so stressful!! We need to put a tracking button on the little guy.
