We just call these stinkbugs, but I was able to get a couple decent pictures, so thought I'd add them to the BugFiles if they'd be of any use.

This is a stink bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Pentatomidae); there are several brown species that superficially resemble one another; because of the sharp ‘shoulders,’ I suspect that this could be one of the predatory species in the genus Podisus - see http://picasaweb.google.com/sphwolf/OkieBugs#5179132315927521970 for an example.
