Kind of hard to tell as it looks wilted. Can you tell us anything about the foliage ~ is it blooming off of a stem or directly from the ground? Is it about the size of a quarter? My first guess would be Tricyrtis, or 'toad lily' if it's blooming now.

My only other guess would be Iris danfordiae which is a Spring bloomer. See pic at bottom of page http://www.theplantexpert.com/springbulbs/DwarfIris.html

thank you---it is the size of a quarter and blooms off a long stem. the bloom isn't wilted--this is how it lays out. looked at the pictures you suggested---still haven't found it.

Do you have a pic of the foliage?

Yes, need more info please.
Is there more than one flower?
How are the flowers arranged on the stem?
--- at the leaf bases
--- singly along the stem at the end of the stalk
-- all clumped together

What are the leaves like? a pic would be best
--- long and narrow, twice as long as wide . . .
--- smooth, toothed or lobed edges
--- arranged on a stem, or do all originate from the base

How tall is the stem?
Is the flower stem part of the leaf stem?
Is it growing in shade?

It looks like it belongs to the Iridaceae family from the little I can see. Could be wrong though!

This Trimezia sp. looks similar.

Take a look at Trimezia martinicensis, it looks very close if not the same,
