I have read it is done with seeds, but I cannot remember ever seeing the seeds on my pine which I have had for years.
Any thoughts?
Norfolk Island Pine Propragating
Ooops, sorry "propagating";-)
bump:-)
I can't say either way from personal experience, but I've also read that they can be fairly successful propagated by seed but unless yours is a fairly mature Norfolk growing outdoors it's unlikely that yours would be producing seed.

I am happy to say mine is a fairly mature (about 12 years old) Norfolk growing outdoors!!!:-)
Now where are those darn seeds:-)
Thanks Amanda
Well, I have to say - I'm jealous ;) They don't grow outside here and I so wish they did. They're absolutely gorgeous trees.
I do have a Araucaria araucana and I know they don't reach seed production age until 30-40 years so it could very well be that your Araucaria heterophylla just isn't quite ready yet. Good news is that I've read that the Araucaria heterophylla is fairly successfully propagated by cuttings.
