CLOSED: Reddish, ant/termite-like insect

Eugene, OR

Anyone have any idea what this might be? It's about a 1/2 inch long. It looks kind of termite-like, but seems redder than any termite I've seen in pictures. I don't believe the thin threads on top of it are part of the insect.

This looks like a reproductive Pacific dampwood termite (Zootermopsis angusticollis) that has shed its wings - see http://www.excellenceexterminating.com/dampwood.jpg
This reportedly is the largest species of termite in the USA.
