Ornamental Grassesseed planting-timinghelp!!

SandyR Greenlawn, NY(Zone 6B) Sep 03, 2001

My DH brought me 3 packets of ornamental grass seeds.
I am in zone 6B and clueless as to whether I can plant them now or should wait til spring. They are:

penstemon barbatus

spartina pectinata

andropogen gerardii

Can anyone give me some guidance?

Each genus is in one of the perennial databases.

Sandy penstemon barbatus is not a grass but a perennial with pretty tubular flowers. You must have been thinking of pennisetum (the grass).
