don't you love morning glories

Heavenly blue is the one I like too . It reminds me of childhood I have never grown anything but heavenly blue and there are some really cool ones to grow but when it comes right down to it that blue is hard to beat

I am collecting seeds from my own, and now I see why some of those seeds are expensive. My double red one, I was trying to collect seed stoday, and the pods only have one or two, versus the common ones that have lots!

Baton Rouge area, LA(Zone 8b)

I love morning glories too. Check my journal. I have lots of growing projects going on too. Karen

Clemen,Everybody,

I have some batches of seeds I`m testing to see how the flowers will turnout. I plan on adding some to my trade list later on when I see the results provided life doesn`t get in the way. I would like more morning glory friends to trade with later this fall.

Is this "Grampa Otts" morning glory? I haven't planted any in this area for about 4 years now, they just keep coming back....

Tamberlin, i found that the double hardly produce seeds, although I have collected quite a few! So pretty

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

I'll have to go and see if there are any. The purple ones have a gazillion seeds!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Tam, I have the same ones coming back for 5 or so years now, even though I pull out most that I find. I do like purple though.

Oh Deb, they look great!!!!! if you have seeds for the double one save me some!!!

The Heavenly blues are even blooming in the rain today. The roses are looking a little pounded though.

I do love the look of MG's but I didn't have much luck with them the year I planted from seed - only because I probably had no idea what I was doing......all the photo's are so great! They sure look pretty!
