Who has Hachiya persimmon???

Why has mine got no buds/flowers/fruit-starts???

It's a young tree but has born several fruits for last two years... I can't remember the timing of the [inconspicuous] flowers but surely far before NOW.

It is my DH's favorite fruit.

Uh, yes, if it were going to have fruit, they'd be on there now. Seems that as I remember it took about 7 years for mine to fruit and being on the property next door that we sold, I think she let it die.....kills me. My Fuyu has good size fruits on it now. Wish I were more help on why yours doesn't have fruit now...how old is it? I'd planted another Hachiya on this property and a rabbit bit it off...it has come back from what was probably understock, but I've let it grow to see what comes of or from it. We're fortunate in that there's a lady who lives down the road from us and the last 2 years she's put hachiyas out on a table by the road for people to buy and put money in her can.....she must be used to seeing me by now...I don't know if anyone else ever buys any, but I'm there every day...lol...I love the Fuyus too, but I want both.
