Morning Glory Bush

This is a Morning Glory Bush that I have been growing. It is over 6 ft. tall. But as you can see, it is just one single tall trunk. Can I prune it back to make it bush out more without killing it?

HI Becky . . .

Yes, you can cut your plant back.
Be sure to root your cuttings and plant them out too. They root very easily in water.

Emma - Thanks! How far down should I cut it back? It doesn't have any leaves until about 4' from the ground.

3' or 4' would be good.
After you cut it back the plant will shoot out more leaves in a very short time.

Thanks, Emma! I will get out there this weekend and do some major pruning! Yours look great! No blooms on mine either, but if I whack off the top, there won't even be any leaves! Just a stick in the ground! LOL!
