Can anyone help me out with this one.

This could be a dogwood sawfly larva (Macremphytus tarsatus; Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae) - see http://bugguide.net/node/view/141144/bgimage
I was afraid it was a bug larva. I checked all my caterpillar and butterfly/moth books and couldn't find it anywhere. Yes, I found it on my Cornus sanguinea 'Winter Flame'. I'm off on a squashing mission. Thanks for your help.
