Need fellow birders help!

I just finished voting. )(& not for the Eagle
How do you think that "surfer" shot was taken?
Was the photographer inside the curl (wave) with the camera?
Now That has got me stumped!!!
Any Ideas How it was done??

That's what I thought. So.............that was incredibly unusual, ingenious and probably difficult to shoot. no droplets on the lens or anything. I think that is a great shot now that I look at it more closely. Whoever wins, most of these are very good pics. Some more than others. Sometimes these contests are like comparing apples to oranges

Some kind of super zoom????

The contest is over. The Skydive photo was 1st, Surfer 2nd, and Eagle 3rd. They are were nice pics, I would have been proud to have taken any of them.

That , I think was a fair and just outcome.
