Very nice Sunshine! I Love the looks of obscura, the foliage and flower on that one is really pretty! And, camphorifolia too ... really lovely!

I have a small variegated compacta but it hasn't grown much in the past year and I haven't had blooms yet, but I just love the variegated foliage.

Multiflora/Javanica still blooming since february, you gotta love that!

Wow...is that obscura really that pink, or is it the lighting? I've seen it orange-ish, but never pink. That's gorgeous.

I agree about the continuous blooming nature of multiflora...the minute one umbel is finished blooming, another opens!

It is the H. Montana I love! Yellow is my favorite!! Where did you find this one ksgirl? Beautiful.
Kerri

Cape Coral, FL(Zone 10a)

Lin, thanks. I love both plants as well. My compact is not really big but it's been blooming on & off all year long.
Jo, montana is very pretty and yes I do love multiflora thanks to you. It's been blooming since last September as a cutting.
Gabi, that obscura's been getting lots of sun hanging on my plumeria tree and the flowers really shows color.

Oooh, that is so pretty! Would love to see a pic of the foliage on that one. It's still undetermined if one I received in trade is actually motoskei, no blooms for me yet.

Whitestone, NY(Zone 7a)

Karen,
You'll probably notice it smells like chocolate - moreso at night. Can it get any better?!

Lin,
Here is a pic of my motoskei:

Gabi, That is one Gorgeous plant! My leaves look similar but narrower, so mine might just be carnosa as someone suggested. If I can ever get the thing to bloom maybe I will know for sure what exactly it is!

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

Gabi - your plant puts mine to shame - that's a nice one you have! Here's a pic of mine. I'll certainly check for any chocolate scent - two of my favorite things together!

Thanks Lin. I also had one sold to me as motoskei but it turns out it's a heavily speckled clone of carnosa (maybe 'Snowball').

Karen, mine definitely doesn't put your's to shame! They are both beautiful!

I just love seeing the bloom pictures!

Eileen, do you make your own hangers? If so, what kind of wire are you using and how are you punching holes in the containers?

Thanks!

I LOVE the fragrance of H. pentaphlebia!!!!! How do you like yours?

Whitestone, NY(Zone 7a)

Nice plant Ima (and nice blooms). Mine has a few older peduncles but I'm (not) patiently awaiting for them to open.

I hope this isn't a double post. My camera skills need work. Just got a new camera so am learning. I just got this plant about 3 weeks ago from Hawaii. H . IML 1391. And I am proud to say it bloomed! And it smells heavenly!

That's a beauty Kerri, oooh, don't you love the fragrant ones?! Great photo, what kind of camera did you get?

Ogden, UT

I have a canon rebel digital SLR, but don't know how to use it very well, but I bought a casio exilim to carry in my pocket. That is the one I used. Haven't figured out the macro setting yet. Think I need a photography forum!

(Zone 1)

LOL, I need someone to invent a camera that has a brain and telepathically "knows" to always take a perfect picture when I'm looking through the lens! ^_^ I have a Canon Powershot A630 (whatever that means!) It's a nice sized little digital camera but I still can't get a great photo very often ... can take a hundred pictures and maybe get one halfway decent but still not perfect photo! I have a little icon of a flower with the letters MF on the back of the camera, someone said that is the macro feature but I still haven't figured it out yet. I don't have any patience with computers, cameras or any technical stuff! LOL. Maybe someday I will take some time to figure it out.

Trelleborg, Sweden

Looking forward to seing the onychoides flowers.

Here are a few photos from me. First is 'Joy', a little out of focus, but I wanted to post it anyway. The buds got a lot of sunshine and I guess that's why the flowers aren't as yellow as they usually are...

Last out is another frequent bloomer, diversifolia. Here the flowers are 8 days old and getting messy...

Kelly, the wire hangers are for those wooden orchid baskets. They come two in a pkg. I drill holes in the pots with a small drill. It's easier than using a screwdrive to punch holes.Christine, your blooms are so pretty.
Lin, the pentaphlebia has a very faint smell, a little sweet. I'm disappointed that the flowers only lasted three days.
I haven't been online for two days. Getting ready to go to NY for granddaughter's bridal shower. It's kinda hard to choode clothes for two climates. All mine are summer, summer, summer, fall. LOL

(Zone 1)

Eileen,

Have a wonderful time in N.Y. at the shower! Yeah, I hear ya ... no winter type clothes here either! I haven't owned a coat in 41 years! We try to travel in warm months but occasionally we take trips when it's cool and I just layer long sleeved shirts and sweaters or sweatshirts. If I go somewhere real cold I borrow stuff from my sister who lives in North Georgia ... fortunately we are about the same size!

(Zone 1)

Christina,

What Beautiful Hoyas you have! I saw a photo of Joy at a website I was visiting recently and fell in love with that one but I sure do like the looks of that one you call juanngoiana ... that is really Beautiful!

So many new ones I've never heard of before! Really lovely!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Christina...my juanngoiana has grown now for 2 years, no blooms yet. How do you grow yours? Dry? Lots of bright light?... secret?

Mid, ID(Zone 3b)

Beautiful September blooms everyone!! I'd love to get a chance to smell h. linearis someday.... lemoney - lime is one of my favorites!

My h. motoeski is blooming so high up that I'll have to get a ladder to smell the chocolate ...... sounds like it would be worth it! ^_^

Love the h. diversifolia, a bloom I have a chance to see in the future if my plant continues to grow well!
