Hello,
First of all this is being posted by Trois's grand son. I know dave's garden has been a big part of Trois's life for the last several years so I felt it was important to let you all know that Trois is no longer with us. He passed today Sep. 1st after a stunningly short battle with liver cancer. He was a special person. He will be missed.
To those of you who were especially close to him. If you would like to contact his wife or I you can do so by emailing us at gscogar@gmail.com
Thank you all for being a part of the special community here at DG that he loved so much.
Gabriel
To the friends of Trois
I am so sorry for your loss, Gabriel. We have a Memory Garden
forum on Dave's Garden where members will be able to post their
memories and thoughts of your grandfather once they hear this news.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family at this time.
June

Gabriel,
I am so sad to hear of the passing of your Grandfather. So many of us will miss him. He was a very kind and giving man and oh so smart too. He shared so much with us from his pictures of birds and sunsets and his knowledge of plants, snakes and so much more. He leaves a great and lasting memorial here on Dave's Garden and he enriched many lives. Please pass along our condolences to your Grandmother and all your family.
bless you,
Angele
Gabriel,
Please convey my condolences to your Grandmother and the rest of your family. I first ran across his threads in the Texas Forum. Since then, where ever I encountered his posts, I just had to read them. They were so informative and helpful. I will miss him.

Oh, no, I'm so very sorry to read your news, Gabriel. I'm just sitting here shocked. :( Your grandpa was one of a kind, with such a good sense of humor and more than that, just good sense. I always enjoyed his wildlife photos and hearing about his setup. Oh, and the water gardens he created in the containers. I knew when a thread was started by him, it was one I'd want to read. I'm just so sorry to read this.
I am so sorry to hear about this! I only met Trois, one time, face to face..but I had many exchanges with him in the Forums. I will miss those exchanges.....he and I, shared a love for the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, in Oklahoma...this makes me very sad, thank you, for letting us know.
Oh, Gabriel, I'm so sorry. We loved Trois. He brought beauty and humor into all of our lives. We will be praying for all of you.
I too, am so sorry to hear about Trois. I didn't know or chat with him, but enjoyed reading his posts, and seeing his pictures.
He will be missed.
Oh, no, what a shock! I have 'known' trois for years from the Photos forum. He was a great photographer. I also dmailed with him a few times about our engineering/tech backgrounds. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I will surely miss him.
Victor
Trois died! I don't believe it. I only knew him this year from the Photos Forum. He was one of the best. I noticed he hadn't posted recently and thought he might be on vacation. He will be very much missed.

I hope that you and the family will find the time to read some of the wonderful thoughts and memories many DG members have of your grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone here on DG! You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers! Thank you for letting us know that he passed away yesterday. {{{hugs}}}
Oh My! I am so very sorry to hear Trois is gone.
What a very special gentleman he was.
I have always enjoyed his photos and stories of his land and

My heart and prayers go with you and family.

Such a shock! He was a truly special person, and remains so in my heart. I am blessed for having met and talked to him in person several times. He is truly missed. Prayers to the family, and especially to his lovely wife, Barbara.

Heaven is just a little brighter! Special prayers to those who loved him. < Carolyn
I am so sad that he is now gone from our corner of the world. He had such a good sense of humor and we had a great time with him here in the garden. The thread I enjoyed so much was his famous Blu thread which ended up as the longest thread ever on DG and the entire thread was foolishness and talking of Blue or blu things. So to Trois and his family I will say that I am now blue without you, our Trois.
