Theresa - Oh yes! Definitely a very odd MG vine! The flowers should be pink, but it's the vine itself that really gets your attention! One of my favorites to grow because of the "thorny-looking" stems! Another name for it is Brazilian MG. Enjoy it! :-)

thanks! I grew this one from last years Unusual seed swap. Maybe you sent it becky???
I love it, its such a cool vine. Thanks for the ID.

Hmmm ... I honestly don't know what I sent for the Unusual Seed Swap last year! LOL! It could be from me. I always tell everyone that it looks like a Lion, but it's really a Lamb! Glad it is growing so nicely for you! :-)

Could you show the flower? Did you take a photo?

I hope I have lots of seed to share, its so unique looking. The stems are huge with soft pickers, the leaves are really different looking too.

Looks really healthy! I love growing the setosa! Such a fun vine! Those "thorns" always get visitor's attention! How many of them are you growing? One or more?

I just tried one, but know there will be more next year. I love its uniqueness!

Me, too, Theresa! :-)
