Daily Pics Volume 134
Nice start Elphaba; great pics! Thank You.
Elphaba...fabulous start! I just love that Little Blue Heron.
Linth spectacular! The shot on the last thread has to be a one in a million shot!
Wonderful photos from the previous thread. But, linthicum, WOW! The Ospreys coming into the nest is really spectacular. The clarity is amazing.
Elphaba, what great shots of a variety of beautiful Herons and Ibis.
What a fantastic start (and finish) to the thread! Amazing Osprey pics and I just love that gull with his catch!
Outstanding shots guys!
I make it 53 Double-crested Cormorants. And yep, Ring-billed Gull.

Nice pics nany! Can't wait till my White-breasted Nuthatch come back.
Well, Carp...I put my pics in the wrong thread again!!
Okay...blah blah blah...a Cardinal!!
Linthicum, I don't know how you get those fab photos of birds eating fish. Either you are really lucky or you have amazing patience! Just great!
Absolutely beautiful shots Nanny -- you wild thread hopper, you.
Pelle, that's a really great shot of a chickadee. I took about a dozen pictures yesterday of a chickadee. They were all awful! Good job on a hard bird to capture!
I think this is just a mockingbird with unusually pretty coloring.
There has not been enough light here today to get any photos. I removed all the feeders except for the lightest hummer feeder because of the danger of the wind. This morning I spread BOSS on the picnic table, the deck and on the ground. The wind and light rains have not stopped the birds from coming for feed. The hummers have been very busy fighting over the one feeder. The hummers have been feeding even though the feeder is blowing in the wind. There is still a lot of bad weather to the east. I hope to get out tomorrow and look for any birds that may have blown north from the gulf.
Stay safe Frank!!
Resin, thanks for the DC Cormorant count !!!
nanny, nice series of photos.
Pelle, excellent photo of the Chickadee ....
Elphaba, thanks. Luck and especially patience always come into play. And, you have to go to the right places. Here is a photo taken last year of a Double-crested Cormorant. I could not believe that he was able to swallow the fish whole. You just need to be at the right place at the right time, and then ... don't blow the opportunity.
Thank you Nanny. It looks like the east coast will get the next one. Then after Hannah there is Ike and even another forming off the African coast(Josephine). When will the birds have a safe time to migrate?
