Purchased this several years ago and it was doing fine. This year it has some problems - leaves are durling up and turning brown. I keep it watered. I did apply Bayer Tree & Shrub to it but that was after I noticed it browning up.

Could just be the heat and dryness of this summer. Other parts of the plant look fine. I would just keep it watered well. Don't trim off anything yet, as I've had some branches on JMs partially defoliate in very dry summers (like the last two) and still come back the next year. (If more branches start drying up, check for voles.)

Looking at your pic again, I wouldn't be worried. Most of the tree looks fine.
