CLOSED: what is this small yellow-black insect?
It is a Leafhopper of some sort, a search reveals a few but trying to be inventive by the colour, it might be a Mango Leafhopper. I found a pic with the adult and larva, these tend to vary in stages as they develop so I'm wondering if this is in between the two. They are shown to be 4-5mm long but the description doesn't quite fit.

There is also a Papaya Leafhopper, can't find any pics though. I did find a checklist of Leafhoppers, this list just for those beginning with the letter 'E'. Do a 'find' search from the Edit tab for India and you will find plenty!

Pleased to help, good luck with the search! If you find it let us know. I guess you could post it in your blog as a Leafhopper if nothing else!
