Mom took this photo and said it's on her pimento plant leaf. She said they look like "little bumps all attached" and "underneath the cluster, there is a bit of white -- like glue -- holding it all on the leaf."
Any thoughts? (I haven't been over to her place but might be able to go over and get a closer photo if no one knows what it is from this.)
Photo taken today in Southeastern PA.
Thanks!
CLOSED: What is this on pimento leaf?
It looks similar to what I have found all over my plants this year. I'm pretty sure it's some type of scale insect. Mine have been getting on my morning glories from, I think, my pine trees, which are extremely sick-looking. The adults have no legs and they secrete some type of honeydew, which eventually covers and protects them. Also, they seem to suck the juice out of whatever plants they are on.
