DAILY BUTTERFLIES Page 44

Manning, SC(Zone 8a)

I hate letting all the butterfly postings accumulate because I'm too busy to check DG, and when I do, there are so many I get excited about and then I can't remember who posted what while I'm posting my message! But......
I LOVE all the puddling photos, I wish we had puddles and puddlers but we're short of both. How neat it is to see a bunch of the same species all together, having a good puddlin' time! It's as fun as seeing a bunch of birds in the birdbath!
Meredith, your rue looks great!! And those worms look like some I had infesting both my beebalm and my echinecea last year, I hated them!!! Someone on DG suggested they were army worms, just as Lucy mentioned. They would worm right into the center of each flower and turn it black. Very frustrating!
I love that little Spicebush cat, Mellie!!!
And I'm so jealous you get to see GST's, Cat; I'd love to see them!!!
I saw a Common Buckeye I THINK ovipositing on my snapdragons the other day, so I'm going to watch for it's cats. The snapdragons are pretty much going by now, I hope there will be enough for the cats to eat!
My passionvines are covered with GF and VF cats, I hate that we're going on vacation next week and I'm not going to be here to watch over them! I stopped bringing them in to raise til we get back, but there are still a few in the crate which will hopefully eclose before we leave next Monday. Otherwise, my kittysitter will have a new chore!
I love all the photos everybody!!!!
Now I have a whole bunch of things to do searches on, thanks to this thread. This is a most interesting forum!

AW,, Thea, we are going to be visiting Charlie & Sandy starting next Wed. I was hoping to get to see you. But since you'll be gone, I can sneak down and snitch some cuttings. LOL. Would you like me to bring some passion incarnata seeds?

Elaine
