i tried to search for goji, it is not found.
however, there are two files on here.
Wolfberry is the common name for the fruit of two very closely related species: Lycium barbarum and L. chinense . I am not sure which is the correct one for goji, but "goji" is a common name for that particular plant. so someone should add it, also be sure to add "wolfberry".
Someone should add the "goji" to the plantfile.
Apparently it's L. barbarum that is sometimes referred to as Goji Berry. I've added that common name to the PlantFile entry. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/63945/
You've got two of the exact same photos in the pending queue. I'm assuming that the one directed to the L. barbarum entry is correct and the one directed to the L. chinense entry is incorrect?
well, it seems that they are both called goji, from what i read on those two pages, maybe goji is a common name for both of those two speices. And I grew that plant from the dried goji berry, so I can't really tell which is which, that is why I uploaded the same picture to both pages.
The Royal Horticultural Society has Goji Berry as a common name for L. barbarum http://www.rhs.org.uk/databases/summary2.asp?crit=Lycium%20and%20barbarum&Genus=Lycium
Here's RHS's entry for L. chinense http://www.rhs.org.uk/databases/summary2.asp?crit=Lycium%20and%20chinense&Genus=Lycium
I've done some work on the entries that will hopefully alleviate some of the confusion with the common names. Both species do share some of the same common names though.
I'll release your photo to the L. barbarum entry, because that's what I think it is you have. If someone thinks differently they will let us know.
