Pistacia chinensis CHINESE PISTACHE
I have a young tree that was flourishing, about 3 years old. Now all leaves are dead!!! I think it is because the gardner hit the bottom with the weed eater and tore off the bark. Could that be why it died? I am very upset. I planted it when it was a baby and absolutely love it.

Pistacia chinensis CHINESE PISTACHE
Yes. A very common cause of damage and death. Get the gardener to pay for a replacement.

Sympathies kittie. We just planted one two years ago and are very pleased with it having long admired the fall color. Get a new one and plant it this fall! Don't let this ignorant deed make you lose out.
