So recently my mother found a couple of these on her kitchen floor and one in the middle of her living room carpet. She thinks they could have possibly come in attached to her small dog since it often goes into bushes, but doesn't know what they are or if she should be concerned about them being loose in her house. Any help with identification would be great!
CLOSED: Unknown cocoon / larval shell, should I be concerned?
Difficult to tell becuse of lack of scale, but these could be pupae of a muscoid fly, such as a house fly - see http://www.oregonfeederinsects.com/pupa.gif
