I need help! home remedy?

Portland, OR(Zone 7b)

I have not been able to keep my pool up the last 3 weeks due to my back. I went outside in my backyard and checked my pool.. and other features.. There are a bunch.. I mean... BUNCH of little skinny things with"heads" squiggling all over the place. Looks like mosquito larvae..... I dosed it with massive chlorine and it didnt seem to kill them at all.. It is a pool you blow up the outside ring.. and fill and it raises on its own. The water features and packed as well... I did the skimmer 4 times.. got a ton of them.. tousands.. but looked again about an hour later.. it is filled.. looks like I didnt even make a dent with the skimming!!! Help!
I read anywhere from bleach. a lot of it.. to pellets you can drop in.. from smothering the water surface with tanning oil.. they sufficate?

Anyone have any idea how to safely kill all the larvae and not ruin the water for the rest of the swimming season? I dont want my son in "bleach water".. but dont want to host a million mosquiotos!! and get a million bumps and possiby have a back yard with that nasty west nile virus..

It is Oregon, we may not use the pool much the rest of the season.. but should I kill them before I drain the pool? I am lost. I just cant believe how many there are!!! I can drain my water features.. but in the grass? I am so so lost.. I dont want the neighborhood to be filled with these nasty creatures :O

ANY info would help so so much!! Thank you very much :)
