11 hours and 43 minutes, that was fast! getting the travel time i mean.
sorry, dont' know i can hold down three children that long!
Ruh roh... I think I hear CF bells...
That's what I thought seat belts were for. Just don't stop.lol
Actually we used to do 12hr road trips, as does my bro still. DD was 4-6 at the time, no concept of time -"How much longer mommy?" "2 Scoobies, 2Power Puff Girls, 2 Dexters, 1 Ed, Edd and Eddie, Honey, as long as we don't need too many potty breaks." "Is Scooby over yet?" "No we just finished the 3rd commercial."
Might make for a nice change of pace, TF
Oh gosh I do so remember the 12 + hr road trips with 4 kids under the age of 10. We would leave at night and that way the girls slept so no need for to many potty breaks. Now try driving from OKC to Fairbanks Alaska with 4 babies youngest being 6 weeks old and oldest 4 years old. WOW that was a trip.
Umm, I think I'll just admire you from afar...;-)
I am so glad them days are behind me now.
DING-DONG
Yes, thanks Chicken Fairy, for my 7 new acquisitions yesterday. I think I am finished for now, if you don't mind. Except for the eggs in the 'bator. Please throw some dust on them if you get a chance.
Claire, Would you like all pullets? ********//////////@\\\\********
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CF
i would
Dear CF,
Yes, I really would like all pullets!! I have a first pip this evening and the chick inside is peeping. Although I guess you already knew that....
You do realize if CF gives you all pullets--she loads someone else up with roos. Conservation of reproductive balance. I am sitting on an all roo hatch right now. Someone else got my pullets.......
Oh....sorry Catscan. That was most unfair of me. :-(
Sorry to hear about your roo abundance. I am scared of a roo abundance because then I might have to butcher some and I don't know if I can deal with that yet.
I know I can't. So I spend time muffling them in the morning until I can find someone who wants a roo, but is cagey enough not to tell me they are going to butcher them. I mean, I am okay with them being eaten--I just can't look them in the eye and hand them over KNOWING they are going to be killed. So I delude myself as long as possible and then say--well they had a very good life, even if it was short. Nature isn't very kind to the majority of males, is it?
Happy Pipping! May they all be pullets (hoping for good Karma)!
well, cat, if you think about it, they are gonna have to feed those JG crosses for over a year before they put on any meat LOL...
I love all mine roos or hens. They follow me like I am their long lost moma. Even the girls and boys I got last week follow me now. They are all so very gentle.
