I am not very good describing stuff, but here it goes. I have an old timey rose bush that has been in my family for years. It was my great grandfathers and whenever he passed away my grandma got it. She is 82 and has had one for about 30 years. I have one that I seperated and made 5 bushes out of it. It will grow really big. Like a forsythia. It is thornless and the blooms are like little pompom balls. It is the color of a dandelion. I have no idea what kind it is or anything. Does anyone have any suggestions??
Also, I planted some seeds this spring and on the package it said yellow coneflowers. All of the one's I have seen on here are pretty big. These are very danty. The foliage looks like a french marigold's leaves and they are only about a foot and a half high. It grows across the ground sort of like a ground cover, but it hasn't rooted. The blooms are little. The cone part is about the size of a pencil and is about 1 inch tall. Then it has the yellow petals like a coneflower. It isn't at all prickly like a coneflower. I just love them and have saved seed from it. Does anyone have any ideas on what variety this one is????
Thanks, Traci S
Any ideas on these???
Traci if you could take pictures of them in bloom and place them on the plant ID forum, you would get the most help,
