Has anyone ever heard of 12 Sisters Lily? If any grows these, I would love some info about them and to see pics. Bought 2 bulbs off some one on Ebay, all they knew is that they are red and white, grow 3-4 feet tall and someone told her they are called 12 Sisters Lily. Hope someone has some info for me!! Will post a pic of the bulbs in a little bit.

12 Sisters Lily
It does not look like a lilium, perhaps it is a 'Surprise Lily', which has all sorts of names, but does not belong to the genus lilium.
It has been a while since I planted or divided those bulbs, but did the photo on Ebay look like this?

See here's the problem..there was no pic! I figured if its a lily I'd like it. Plus they were cheap. I was just curious since I had a possible name to see if any one grows them. But since you say about the suprise lilies, they do look sorta like those bulbs...oh I hope thats not what they are, I'm already up to my ears in them!
I don't know though, she said they are red/white and 3-4 feet tall. Suprise lilies only get what about 2 feet. Is there red/white suprise lilies? I guess if I don't luck out and find someone who has these, they will be a nice suprise!

It definately looks like something in the Amaryllis family, not liliums. I've never heard of any of them being called 12 Sisters lily. You might want to also post on the Bulbs forum. Red and White makes me think of the crinum that is called Milk and Wine lily.
Uh, oh crinums aren't hardy here...I don't think.
Will post on the Bulb forum also.
Thanks!!
Maybe pard's onto something here....
I did a little search... common name for Crinum americanum is Seven Sisters...
Yay pard!
But it is 5 Sisters off! lol
Maybe the Ebay seller had a big family...Lol!
