Hey Gordon - Nice looking blooms...these are the dilute version of "Fuji no Murasaki"
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/21389/
as distributed by Sakata

and entered somewhat erroneously here
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/89521/
as Mt. Fuji Pale Purple....

Link to photo of Sakata catalog page showing the Lavender version of "Fuji no Murasaki"

and in the upper right of the catalog page what the "Fuji no MIne" should look like...

Gordon - Beautiful colors on those blooms! I've not seen blooms of Fuji like that before. Lovely! Soooo ... these were still blooming at 5 PM? Was it a cloudy day? That's really interesting!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

no clouds.. good sun and about 81* F.. I was amazed the first day.. thinkng they might have cross cycled themselves some how.. they do continue to be open all day..
as jacked up as they might get from my continual feeding.. others seem to have no trouble bowing out by11 am. ..Gordon
pictured is these flowers at 9 AM. the sun is there then....

Earlier in the day shows the nice light blue before it fades by 5pm and they're likely to be
