got to check my tag on it... it's unusual as it's thhecamera doesn't do it justace closest to a Lilac I've seen here.. it's real light .. and tslight color seems more lilac then pinkish..

it is still abit lilac looking to me... it is Sernedipity X Taylor Dawn ... seeds from Gary I believe . he was saying a year or so to me that he'd starteda lilac project... guess some of this is the result... seems to be working
Both are just gergeous, but a lilac burg, that is fantastic..

Donna... thanks..well it is ever so light... and runs to gray as it passes.. but it has a lilac look to it.. a bit more than the camera shows
Mom.. yes it is deep..colored.. and has a fragerance as deep as the color..
Yes.. Betty.. these are first blooms on these 08 seedlings.... I can't say about Gary's others... or if he wished the word to get out of his frankinstein projects.. but tremendeously light .. is better than not giving the hint at all... like a foot hold in the door.. I'm awaiting my flava lilac cross to bloom.. I saved some pollen from this one to give it when it does....
there it is.. back in the corner.. I was giving it prefered photo spot.[ city background ]. I had high hopes for Gary in this one can' wait to see more from it... Gordon

Gordon to funny, ha ha about the PH and PF’s, but I agree with the “lots of hard work”. You have a gorgeous paradise on that roof top; I can imagine the fragrance is just to die for in the evenings.

Donna.. thanks..yes evenings now are soo soothing... with the fragerance of each bloomer... and the first day flowers they pack quite a punch..
Jaye.. yes these first blooms were more blush than lilac... but in work I deal with color and I can see lilac happening in there.. it's got a dozen blooms awaiting another try at it ...

How EXCITING! I love them all! Nice flush on the seedlings! Love the deepening color on PLxP It will be interesting to watch as they keep blooming, don't they sometimes show more color and traits as the plant ages? Those are both to die for, keep up the great work and relaxation Gordon, we'll be watching with you on Gary's and your trials.. Lavender, gray... lovely, I like soft colors too! Have my fingers "crossed" (teehee) for all of you!

It is always a special treat to see views of your roof top garden. When I think of all the work I do to start and maintain my garden, it must pale in comparison to your efforts to have beautiful flowers high in the sky. You have an impressive talent for wedging in your must have plants as they always seem so happy co-mingling with their neighbors.

so new brugs today Angles Moonlight.. a nice drop down length of the inner trumpet from the upper ones.... It has like a shredded bloom inside.. as does Hawaiian Double white ..which seems to have a double shredded wedged inside.. it's so tight.. here's AM

Angles Moonlight with it's shredded inner trumpet.. is shredded for a good reason as is seen here. it provides a place and method of getting pollenated.. Gordon

Clemen.. well as the bloom cycle continues the doubeling is better... HawaiianDoublewhiteissimilar... it will even drop the first dozen.. then open clogged in the inside... then they start opening and droppping down better...

OH..they are starting to look good..I'dcounted 59 abit ago...but since then I've seen about 5 . of these occoured elsewhere also.. but not all have tags... so maybe there are more of the same ones.. I'd say about 55.... here's an almost red one with yellow stripping... and without it's tag..... Gordon

This one is just spectacular, the coloring is gorgeous. That roof top garden must be a special place. I can even imagine how you deal with the fall frosts and end of the season take down. It must be quite a task bringing all those babies in for the winter.

here's a close up... there'sstill abunch of cooler weather beforeit's inside for this one.. perhaps we'll get a better ideaas to it's color range as it matures into more cooler weather flushes. it's definately a pastel.. be it going to pink or lilac.. it'a also a good companion to a near by rose

Donna...well it's usually in before Thanksgiving.. the roses and japaneese maples stay out.. as does a bunch of other things....I . might make a dormant room up on the roof this year.. as it'sheatingmightbelower than the light bills.. and it would free up alot of inside space for all my new things..
