yesterday i found this strange type of insect and can't id it i sent out photos to others and so far one of the names was Locust wood borer but from what i seen the color isn't the same so here are more pics, hope someone knows for sure.

Is this thread marked "SOLVED" because you obtained an answer elsewhere? If so, you should annotate your thread so that others may know what you found. In the meantime, it looks a lot to me like a Neoclytus spp., such as Neoclytus mucronatus - see http://www.entm.purdue.edu/forest/images/mucronatus.jpg
