This spider was hanging around early this morning. I have seen others like this in the garden, but this one was the biggest one yet. Friend or foe?

I think it's a Cross Spider, Araneus diadematus... to me all spiders are friends. This one isn't poisonous to people or anything like that, if that's what you mean.

You're welcome. I guess lots of large spiders or insects could bite, I just don't mess with them besides sticking a camera in their face! That's a good picture.
