CLOSED: another bird dropping moth in MD ?

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

I had left my car mats on the sidewalk for cleaning later. I thought a bird had made my job worse. Thig guy was less than an inch. You can see the scale by the edge on the mat. From standing and looking to the ground, it sure did look like bird dropping.

Viewing from directly down on its back- the symmetry is a giveaway. (sorry for fuzziness)

Kewl! I've never seen one of those before - nor did I know they existed.
There's the caterpillar of the Giant Swallowtail that looks like a bird dropping, but this is an adult.

I see there are gaps in the Hodges #'s, so there may be other Eudryas species

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

from the brown and yellow accents, mine looks more like the Eudryas grata than the unio.
