Hey Ga, How About A Swap Meet???

Just got a great idea from Arlene!! How about whoever would like to get together and have a swap meet. We could get together at my house in Jonesboro, Ga. and have a great day. Anybody interested???

I'm thinking Sept. 15th.

where is Jonesboro in comparison to some of the bigger Georgia cities?

About 20 Mi so of Atlanta just 6 mi west of I-75. So glad you replied I was feeling rejected. After I posted this, I saw the one Jennesue did about a BIG get together.

I may be able to attend. What should I bring?? Seeds,cuttings, plants,etc......... Are you looking for anything in particular? Do you need any help with snacks or anything? If so, I'd be glad to bring something. I live in Temple, GA. About 35 miles west of Atlanta. I do know where Jonesboro is, but could you email me with some directions?

Hi Traci - just bring something you would be proud to trade. I have been to a couple of these things and took things that were I thought sort of special but was a little disappointed at what I ended up with. Don't mean to scare anyone but you may remember some of the "few" instances with the "Secret Trade" we did in the spring. Almost everyone was really thrilled with what they got. I think we should maybe plan to bring about 3 things, then surely there will be something special in each group. We will number everything as it comes in and then pass out equal numbers (different) for the drawing or swap. These can really be fun and I have got some of my favorite things this way. If you don't have plants, then maybe a collection of seeds would be nice. I am flexible and open to suggestions.

I will email everyone who wants to come with specific directions nearer the 15th.

Janet & Vic, of course you may have a rain check, whenever you're in the area please count on a fun visit. I understand that lots of folks won't be able to make it now, but I figured it didn't matter when I picked, everyone who would like to come just can't. We are retired and home most of the time. If there were too many, I couldn't handle it anyway, we'll just do it again if this goes well. Might have to lease the World Congress Center and that wouldn't be as much fun. I wanted to do it before we close the pool by the end of the month. That's always depressing.

Hey Vic, just noticed where you are from. About 2 weeks ago we were at Lake Lure for a beautiful 4 days. My Daughter's family invited us to go with them so the guys could play golf. Gorgeous country. Isn't that where Dale Ernhart was from?

Well, gals & guys, you missed a beautiful day at my house yesterday. The turnout was small, only Merkat, Stormy & Sassy came but they brought two friends and lots of great plants to swap. It was great to meet these nice gals. Too bad you all couldn't come. We'll try it again one day.
