thanks. I'll be checking d-mail on my break at work, but I won't be able to respond until later this evening. :)
I've sent you a Dmail
Thank you so much for sharing.
Lynn
just an update for those of you who asked, or didn't ask but were wondering.
the one "francee" is at least 4 feet in diameter right now. I do have a few smaller ones.
the "royal standard" I have 1 that is 3 feet, and one that is about 1.5 feet in diameter, plus a few small ones.
the "undulata" I have two that are 3 feet in diameter, one that is about 1.5 feet and a bunch of little tiny sprouts that seem to have shot off from seed or something.
as for the geranium/cranesbill I have a good 10 square feet + and the "emerald and gold" wintercreepers are each about 6 feet in diameter.
Still willing to pay what you consider fair to you so I can get my garden back to before.
Lynn
If someone has not taken the sedum or the geranium, I would love them! If so, I will look at your want list, but I will pay the postage to send them...how large would they be?
(Crossing fingers...)
RatherB
I would love to have the Autumn Joy...
DeeS
pfllh, just shipping
hopefully my package will get you a little closer to getting your garden back
* I still have plenty of geranium... I'm not sure it would be possible to get rid of it all
I also found some daylilies, bearded iris and phlox. I don't know the colors of the daylilies or irises, but the phlox are pink
I'm beginning to hate that shade of pink
mailing everyone back :)
Would love to have a few hosta divisions if you still have them! Also the showy sedum and stonecrop if you have of those left.
The 4 foot Francee is probably many, many, separate plants all growing together in a large clump. I would suggest you water well, have a few 5 gallon buckets available and DIVIDE. I use a garden fork, position it where you want to separate a portion from the main clump, put your foot on it and push it through as far as you can. You will be damaging some of the roots, but that is how it's done. Take the small clump and put in the 5 gallon bucket (with water) for a day. This will keep the plant hydrated and soften the roots for separation. I try to pull individual crowns out and discard any dead root material. Keep putting the cleaned ones back into another bucket (with water) to keep hydrated until shipping. When shipping, shake off excess water and wrap roots in damp paper towel, and put wrapped roots in plastic bag, secure with rubber band or tape, Do not cover leaves with plastic. Take a couple of sheets of damp, not wet newspaper and wrap entire plant. This will keep it fresh during shipping. I hope you find this information helpful.
I would like to get the bearded iris for postage.
Thanks Winni
Hi What would the postage be on the weeping forsythia 74133 Tulsa, ok? I do have quite a bit. please check my have list or can pay for postage which ever works for you.
Dave
If you have some left, I'd be interested in:
stonecrop - "purple carpet"
helleborine
Ev
I'd love the phlox please if noone else has taken it. I'm more than willing to pay postage, so just let me know. Thanks
Yehudith
I'd like an update on the Francee Hosta, are you going to divide it? If so how much do you want us to send for postage?
i am dividing it, there's plenty there to give everyone a nice large plant.
i'm not sure on shipping costs yet. won't know until the day i send them off. but i can mail you then. it's shouldn't be too much, i generally use parcel post or first class/priority. probably a little over $5 for the largest packages...
as for form of payment i will accept anything but cash. check, plants, money order... i even have a paypal account and can send you an invoice if you supply me with your email address
tonight i do more digging and separating so the plants can be in the mail on monday. hope everyone has a good weekend, and i'll check back a few times during the gardening to check my messages.
I appreciate your doing this, feel free to check my tradelist. I may have something you'd like to have.
I wish I had something to trade with you, for some hostas. Royal Standard is my favorite, my grandma used to have it, but I would love any of them. Please, if you still have any hostas left, would you consider a pay for postage from me?
Thank you,
Alexandra
Oh my goodness! I would LOVE anything you have since I just moved here last year, and I don't have much yet. I love Daylilies, Hostas, Vinca Minor, Lily-Of-The-Valley.....I don't know what wintercreeper is or japanese spurge, but I can look it up!
This is my first time, so I guess I'm suppose to D-Mail ya? OK I'll try. LOL
Hi,
I would like some daylilies but most of my plants to trade are tropicals. could send some in the spring. Fran
What is left on the list??? Boy I see everyone is really gobbling up the plants huh? Is your head spinning yet? Ronna
my head does't stop spinning. got another 60+ hour work week this week. hings arer being dug up packed and shipped in between the rain and the few moments of sleep i get.
there's quite a bit left from the list. for the hostas, i have small splits or seeds starts of both the royal standard and undulata. the francee, iris, sedum and daylily has all found new homes. here is an updated list
common evening primrose
japanese spurge
partrigeberry
vinca minor
winterecreeper 'blondy' and 'emerald gold'
creeping phlox
bloody cranesbill/hardy geranium pink
weeping forsythia
i'm sure there's more i'm forgetting. there's always something i didn't notice out there before.
4:12 AM!!! 60+ hours!! You need to rest!
Goodness you do need to get some rest! Till the weeks over you are going to be completely run down. What you are doing for all of us is greatly apperciated, but make sure you get the rest you need!
mittsy
more like the one pictured here http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/88974/
but only 1-2 feet tall.
and 4:12 was the time that the cats woke me up for food this morning. little brats. i went back to bed afterward
I'd love some of
partrigeberry (absolutely love it)
bloody cranesbill/hardy geranium pink (making a hardy geranium corner)
weeping forsythia (want to plant next to weeping cherry that I am training)
I would love a few of the royal standard and undulata (sp) starts if they are still available. Ronna
sending you a dmail
hey gardenlady... could you dmail me? makes it so much easier to keep track of everything. especially since i'm half at home and half at work. :) thanks
Hi I would love to get some of the weeping forsythia. My zip is 74133. Please let me know how much and how to get it to you. Please look over my list maybe I have something that peeks your interest. Even though it says out I may have one or 2 to trade for this special plant.
Dave
Haven't dmailed you since the 13th. Did you find any time to do all the work of packing after having to dig all that? I'd have been laying on the ground and yelling "I can't get up" !
If you have the amounts figured, you can list here or just send a dmail. I just want to get the postage to you as mailing all the plants is going to run into an expense.
Thanks so much.
Lynn
You have Dmail.
i sent 10 decent sized packages in the last week. i will dmail those of you whom can expect those packages. the rest will be out soon, there is just so much to do!
i am packing more up tonight, and will continue to pack what i can when i can until it is all out.
i apologize if i don't mail people right away... thank goodness for trade tracker or i'd be absolutely insane. 60 hours to work this week. no computer at home... and a baby shower cake for 30 people to bake and decorate... doesn't seem like life wants to slow down.
and i certainly apologize for not getting everything out right away. thank you all for being so kind and patient... and understanding.
