This beetle [?] flew in and posed for several pics. This is side view. His antenna as long as he is.

I forgot to mention the picnic was in the midst of sugar pines in the Sequoia National Park.

We had a feeling he / she was up to no good. His head looked like Darth Vader's helmet/mask.
