Shop lights

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I'm just about at my Wits ends with buying shop lights,I've purchased them from Ace Hardware,Lowes,Home Depot and Walmart, and yet to find a good one that will last, and a few didn't work at Brand new!!!
Cheap,Cheap!
The magnetic Ballast burnout in 6 months, some come on a few minutes go out,and have to be turned on again and again and again!!
Anybody have a place they can get some good ones at?
Tired of having to climb a ladder in the greenhouse top,to wiggle a bulb to get them to come on,I can say the 2 fters are a lot better than the 4ft fluorescent lights!

I would try a commercial lighting source. Also, you might want a UPS or voltage stabilizer in line. Perhaps you could have the local utility provide you with a voltage recorder for a week to see if you have some unusual spikes (up or down) that would stress and wear out the ballasts so fast/

Sounds like a good idea!
But what makes me mad is half of them don't even work at all straight out of the box!
Then the light fixtures where the pins from the fluorescent light fits in are now just a single connection with a notch cut out so a pin would just lay in it,not even one for both pins!
Lights of America,Walmart brand, will come on then go out, come on go out, back and fourth, enough to drive me crazy!!!LOL
