"Greetings from Latvia"-Part #2.

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

This is just for you GUYS!!!!!

Al throughout my trip--I was "obsessed" with trying to get some pictures of some of the beautiful young ladies in the City! Just as "Eye Candy" for you Guys!!!
I could NOT very well be blatant enough to take a picture of them walking TOWARDS me--so I could only snap a couple of them as they walked away-- from the back....

I tell you! Your eyes would POP--IF you are a man!
The young women in Latvia are just all SOOO beautiful! I don't think any of them are under 5'9'--or taller! They ALL seem to be about a size 4! L-O-N-G legs......High cheek bones---big, beautiful eyes...... Not much make-up--just in the EYES!
AND---The ALL wear high heels!!!!!
I also understand--that they are, shamelessly, in the hunt for a MAN! Maybe that explains how they all dress....

So! Here are just a couple I got to snap a picture of.....

Caught this one walking towards me.....but it was NOT the best shot!

OK! Sadly..This ends ALL my pictures I am sharing with you! END of it all!!!!

For all of those of you that have followed me along, I thank you for your interest!
I realize this was a bit "lengthy"......but I am glad I had all of you to share it with.

Maybe you took a "cyber trip" to Latvia with me as a result!

I love you all! And--I am so happy I could share all these pictures with you.

Again---May I suggest you Google "Latvia"--or "Latvia Song Festival--2008" to enjoy a lot more of this beautiful Country and it's history.

Thank you for staying with me through all this!!!!

Love, Gita

Gita:

Thank you, kindly, for taking so much time to share your wonderful trip's pictures with us.

They are truly a treasure.

Even more so with the accompanying stories and insights you shared with us all.

So, where are we going next year?

:-)

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

willie,

I seldom travel to anywhere......NOT in my budget! I'm a real home-body!
Maybe if I had a special someone to go with--I would go places more often--but I live l alone and still work PT at HD.

This trip was a "special" trip--as my Sisters were going anyway---the big Song and Dance Festival was there this year--and I had not been there since 1994.
The next Festival will be 5 years from now---Maybe I'll go there again...

Thank you for your kind comments....

Gita, thanks for sharing the wonderful photos with us. The Latvians must be a nation of flower lovers - so pretty.

1. Bergenia

Gita- I really enjoyed our virtual trip. I'm going miss seeing new pics.
Thank you.

Hart, You are really good. I grow three kinds of Bergenia and didn't recognize that. The leaves are so round and all green.

I still think #3 might be one of the pink varieties of Iberis. Anyone else ?

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Look at the leaves on #3. It looks more like cosmos leaves, very ferny, but that sure doesn't look like cosmos. My perennial candytuft doesn't have leaves that look anything like that but maybe the annual types are more like this?

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Hart, I thought that too about the leaves, but I recently added another variety of Candytuft and the leaves are much finer than my others. They seem to be staying fine too as they increase in size. The stems are also more slender, even though they are now quite bushy. Maybe they'll thicken with age. The blooms certainly look like Candytuft. They always make me happy!!!!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Hart--You ARE good!!!!! NOW---since you are so good--I will post a lot more pictures of some flowers (mostly Wildflowers) that I photographed. I only posted the prettier ones in the above Post. There are many more....

Are you game????? NOT tonight--but I will....soon.....got a busy, booked weekend coming up. I am a pain in the you know what when I go on trips, because ALL i want to know is "What is that flower"??? "What is the name of that tree"?

Of course--the names I will get from your ID are all in English. Maybe the Latvians have their own names for them--but most of the ones they named for me were the Horticultural names---Latvianized......

Thanks, Gita

I'll be glad to try, Gita.
