Hello,
I have plant that was sold as a Texas Bluebell at a local nursery here in Southern California. I'm looking for advice on how to dead head, trim, etc. The plant produced many blooms during June and July. I'm thinking that it may be toward the end of its blooming season. I also don't know if it is an annual or perennial. I will include some pics just in case the plant was mislabeled. The flowers are actually more purple than blue. Thanks for any advice that you can give me on how to keep the plant healthy.

Mine are from seed three years ago. I simply deadhead the seed pods and leave them alone. They come back faithfully every year. This time I am trying to be patient and wait for some of the seeds to dry so I can harvest and save for next year to put them in other areas as well. From me, they get no more than admiration. Really easy on their own.

Hi, Eyes,
Thanks for the proper name for my plant. I appreciate it.
Hi, Christi,
Thanks for your information and comments. Good luck with your seed harvesting and replanting. I'm very glad to hear that this plant is pretty hardy. That's definitely the kind that I need. Best regards.
