I have been growing this morning glory on a trellis connected to the south side of my front porch for 24 years ! I never get tired of this beautiful color. The thing I love most about morning glories is the way they can grow so nice in average soil. I never fertilize the soil or the vines I just water and they grow lovely every time!
Heavenly Blue my favorite
celticgreenman - Lovely blooms! I've never grown Heavenly Blue, but everyone that does just raves about this beautiful vine. I would love to see a wider view photo of it covering your trellis. Does it spread or does it behave for you?
Beautiful!!! Always been a favorite of mine too!!
Hi Becky, No I don't have a picture of the whole trellis but the blooms spread from top to bottom. The trellis is about 10 or 11 feet tall and about 7 feet wide. The vines grow higher than the trellis every year and come cascading down from the top like a flowering waterfall!.The only chore I have in the late fall is trying to remove all the dead vines off the trellis the do get very tangled! I'll take a wider picture next chance I get and will post it.
Happy gardening!
