Since I don't have the room for one of each, I'm trying to create a Buggy "have to have" lily list. I figure if I ask for your Favorite 5, everyone will give me their Favorite 10...Then I can narrow my list to 20...LOL...
Also, what makes it a favorite?...Color, scent, size, a unique feature...???

I'm a bad one to ask. I agree with all of the above recommendations, but I think if you follow your lily heart you will select the perfect ones for you. Really, you can't go wrong with any of them, in my opinion anyway. From OTs to orientals to her asiatics (that are the deal of the century) or trumpets. I wish I could list one that I have grown that I haven't just fallen in love with, but I can't. Impeccable grower with fabulous product. Have fun shopping when the time comes! That's half the fun! The other half the fun is opening the box when it arrives. That's to say nothing about bloom time, which is worth everything right there.
I haven't weighed in here because I couldn't possible pick a favorite. They're all fantastic.
Decide what is most important to you ~ color, fragrant or not, height, bloom time... Buggy gives all the details about each one. Happy shopping!

The site is not even fully updated yet and I actually get anxiety attacks every time I go to it trying to narrow things down...Been keeping a list of my "have to have's" from the pics that have been posted this year but DH says we are not buying property...It's a pretty long list....

Height...I just move it if it's too short or too tall since most are in pots except for the Asiatics
Bloom time...Now that's a joke...LOL...My Trumpets and Orientals started in early June but are still continuing to open...my Asiatics are just now starting to open in August and will probably bloom till the end of the month...Bloom time is backwards from last year and many are the same bulbs...
Shopping is always a happy thing to do!...It used to be clothes and high-heeled shoes when I lived in CT...AK is MUCH more casual and laid back so I spend all my play $$$ on bulbs, tubers, seeds and soil all of which is encouraged by a pretty fantastic enabler...'cept he won't give up his green lawn which he is as fanatical about as I am my flowers...

I haven't ordered from Buggy yet so these suggestions are really helpful. I have a limited amount of space so unfortunately I can't order one of everything either. I'd like to, though.
Jmorth - a question for you - Your Zeus photo is so gorgeous that I went to the Buggy site to look at it. Their pictures are quite different in color and not nearly so nice - How accurate is the color in your photo compared to theirs? To me your zeus is yellow with a red-orange center. Is that accurate?

perenniallyme- can't question your color description. I'm pretty sure the specimen is Zeus, from Buggy. I imagine culture and geography could effect color presentation, but it's probably the photo/camera, time of day, or something like that. Here's another Zeus.
It's truly gorgeous but I never did meet a Zeus I didn't like.
