Found this guy in my backyard. He was dead. Any idea what it is?

This is an arachnid in the order Solfugae (sometimes seen as Solfugida). They are variously known as solfugids, solpugids, sun spiders, windspiders and windscorpions. They are non-venomous, using their powerful jaws to capture prey; they can deliver a painful bite if mishandled.

I lived in Pahrump, Nv, for a few years and would see these crawling along the wall at the edge of the carpet constantly. Years later I still shake my shoes out every time I put them on.
