If a plant is the only one of its type in the area and produces a single flower can it self pollinate and produce viable seeds?
Viable seeds?
Yes, if its a self pollinating plant Do you know what it is?
Yeah,for instance,a lotus????
I was thinking of my cactus but there must be many other plants in this situation also.
Datura's self seed while Brugmansia do not. It all depends on the Genus and the species. Sometimes plants can cross pollinate between species and even genus barriers....
Well, the cactus flower had not one but 5 bees on it the morning. I sure hope it fruits and sets seed but since I am not sure of the type of cactus I have not been able to research it yet.
