Calendula officinalis - collecting seeds ??

well, i've just begun my seed saving for this year and decided to tackle these as i have tons of them.
but for much of it... either most of it is seed, [the entire flower head] or the seeds and chaff [other stuff] looks a lot a like.

any tips for these seeds?

i do think when i got these seeds in a swap, there was some of the 'other stuff' too, but i can't recall for sure.

and OH HECK, if it's all seed .... i have a boat load.... any body want some??

Terese calundulas are LOADED with seed. Just a few seed heads will net you plenty, even to share.

thanks LJ, and yea -- i noticed. I have TONS of seeds. My neighbor told me today she came over and did some seed collecting.... so now she has tons too.

the plant themselves were much bigger than i had anticipated.... almost too big for the spot i put them... so will have to rethink that for next year.

Do you have any picture to share, I grow two beautiful kind this year.
Here in Sweden and have also collect a lot of seeds, I want it next year in my garden too.
I have also make skin cream with beesvax and Calendulaoil.

and at last this color, very beautiful I think. Ordinary size of them too.

all of mine were orange and yellow ... Citrus Cocktail i believe.
