CLOSED: moth with orange legs

grand falls-windsor, Canada

I saw this moth in harbor breton, newfoundland, canada. It surprised me because it had bright orange legs and a very vivid colouring all over. Can anyone identify it? it isn't in my audubon book

I'd post another image to better show the back but this forum doesnt seem capable, or perhaps i didn't see an option for other images.

Just Reply to your thread and you can add another image. It's pretty. I don't know what it is, either.

It looks like an Eacles imperialis - Imperial Moth
But Imperial moths will almost fill up your hand.
Your pic shows a much smaller moth.
But again, I am only guessing and not giving a firm ID.

I also saw the picture of the imperial moth, which is similar in colours to this one, but the markings on the wings in the picture in my book are completely different to this specimen. Also it doesn't have fluorescent orange legs

It's a Rose Hooktip moth, Oreta rosea
