I like the idea of the living hair on a troll head, too!
Joey, you're too funny half asleep!
Welcome to Toadville!
LOL and now I see I double posted too...ugh I was really out of it LOL
Speaking of coffee, they took me off caffienne yesterday, so I bought some Folger's half n' half last night. So-so, but not the real stuff! But I can get use to it and then on to full decaf!
ok, well in case I need more coffee, too, I just want to be clear that it IS real hair. You grow grass seed in their heads :0)
omg that is so absolutely cute
Here's a YouTube video of the construction of Toadville if anyone is interested in how it was put together:

Below is a pic of the latest Toadville updates, including a new side yard, stone retaining wall and steps, and the skullcap forest (at the bottom). As you can see, some of the plants were annuals and others didn't like the site. I am very happy with what has stayed and matured.
I hope everyone is having a great summer and working on their mini-villes!
Bev
It looks so pretty! Great job!
Sallysblooms, Thanks for the kind words! In looking through the threads, I see you've been busy with minis, too, lol. You do very nice work, everything is just lovely!
Thank you. They are like little worlds. I have Chronic Fatigue problems. I can't go in the heat and do much right now, but I love to look at my fairy garden and I love to take care of my collection of A. Violets. Hubby and lawnguys take care of my gardens outside now.
Sally, Sorry to hear you have such health problems! That has to be extremely frustrating to deal with!
It has been too hot here for so long, that I had a stack of yard chores waiting when it finally did cool down a bit. I have so many ideas for minis that I almost can't stand myself. It seems everything is a potential container for a mini garden, and every big tree in my yard with a portion of gnarly roots above ground is a future "-ville" of some kind. I really need to get some of them at least started so I can finish them later.
I hope you can feel better soon!
Sundownr, thank you! It IS frustrating. I am glad I can stay cool and care for my African violets inside, but I miss gardening outside. I do hope to get better. I take about 36 supplements! They are wonderful and I have a great doctor. AND an angel for a hubby!
I know what you mean. You see everything as a potential for a small garden, hideaway for fairies. SO much fun!
We have more boxes to unpack. I can't find my gnome and his HOME! Wish me luck on finding him!
Oh, what a precious little gnome and abode! I'm sure you will eventually reunite them in your new yard. I despise moving, but it is sometimes a good excuse to do a thorough cleaning, lol.
Good luck at your new home and feel better soon!
Bev
Yes, we are still unpacking. I am really hoping to find my missing things soon.
