I brought home a Brazilian Plume Flower from a conservatory several months ago and these came with it. They aren't spreading to my other house plants but I can't seen to be able to get rid of them. This is a terrible picture, I thought I had a good one so I cleaned off the bugs now I realize that the pic isn't as good as I thought and I don't have any bugs left to photograph. But I know they will be back later. Maybe someone will be able to tell even with this terrible picture.
CLOSED: What is it and how do I get rid of it?
These could be scale insects (Hemiptera/ suborder Sternorrhyncha). See http://www.ipm.iastate.edu/ipm/iiin/housepla.html for some control suggestions.
Thanks Suunto, That sounds exactly right.
