Thank you Kim

Oohhhh! You're not saying which ones!

(Zone 1)

Onalee's site has some gorgeous photo's: http://onaleeseeds.bizhosting.com/

and a great rating in Garden Watchdog: http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/3443/

I have never ordered but lurk on her site on occasion! I might just have to make up a seed list for spring!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I have already ordered 6 kind of morning glory seeds from her (LOL)..........but I was looking at the Cardinal vine and other unusual ones............

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

What are you doing up this early young lady? *lol*

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Visions of Morning Glories running through your head? *lol*

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I can't believe I got up at 4 just wide awake and have been drinking coffee............that sounds like I am feeling great and the past is the past (LOL)(meaning my mouth)

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

That is SO wonderful to hear! You do sound bushy and bright eyed this morning :) That's AWESOME!
Have you been to the post office yet?
Maybe Gay could bring you?

Kim

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I am actually getting up and getting dressed today............going to the post office, the doctor, going to Walmart for another light fixture and coming home! I feel so good I may cancel my appointment with the doctor......haven't decided but it takes so long. When he works you in , you sit by the hour and I am not a good sitter for sure!!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I think I may try and go back to bed for about an hour and sleep.........good night!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh no young lady, you don't cancel your appointment with the doctor today.
Just because you feel good right now doesn't mean tomorrow you won't be in the same pain you have been in.
It's important that you go see him.
Listen to me.........like you need me to be your mother or something *lol* OMG too funny.

Please be sure to go and see him. You went through 3 hours of anesthesia and the pain you have been having feels like lung pain in your back. It sounds like he should at least take a look. You don't want to fool with that.

Walmart and the light fixture and post office will all still be there after you have taken care of your most important thing in your life..........YOU! :)

HUGS

Kim

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

i couldn't go back to sleep............thank you, Mother Kim!!!!!! I will keep my appointment.......

(Zone 1)

Oh my goodness ... I must have missed a thread! Gail, I had no idea you were having back pain. I thought it was all in your mouth from the oral surgery?! Yes, Please, Please listen to Dr. Kim and keep your appointment! He may want to do a chest x-ray to be sure your lungs are clear! I totally agree with Kim on that one! I know if there was any pneumonia, with the heavy duty antibiotics you were on that should take care of any infection but if you are still having back pain you should have it checked out. Sure wish I was closer, I'd drive you to your appointment and to the P.O. and Wal-Mart too!

I gotta admit, I spend a lot of time in Wal-Mart. I've become really spoiled - we have 3 of the Super Centers within a 5 mile radius (one less than a mile from me and another about 2 miles away!) Also have two Super Target's in town that are about 2-3 miles away ... Three Home Depot's and Two Lowe's! No lack of shopping around here thats for sure.

Gail, please let us know what the doctor says as soon as you get home, okay? Remember, we are "family" and we worry about you.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Lin, I am truly an accident waiting to happen. I am laughing so hard right now. I ran outside to take pictures of the morning glories, got a few shots from standing on the concrete and then decided I need to step up on the porch of the storage building for shots from the back.

Somehow I didn't get firm footing on the step up, fell back, crushed and broke my plumerias and landed on the backside and one elbow on the concrete below. Thank goodness I am overweight 'cause the brunt of it was on my big backside! Sometimes it is a blessing for people like me to really pad my bottom (LOL)

(Zone 1)

OMG, Gail ... You are sooo lucky. You could have broken your hip or your elbow! I have always been a real klutz and it gets worse the older I get. Usually my brain is so occupied with stuff and I just don't pay attention and get careless but a couple of weeks ago, I was out in the backyard on firm, flat ground ... bending over pinching spent blooms on a plant or something and fell flat on my butt! Luckily it wasn't on the concrete driveway but in the backyard on the grass. At least I have a neighbor who would have eventually seen me if I couldn't get up! I try to remember to have my cell phone in my pocket at all times when I'm out in the yard but that day it was in the kitchen! I remember a few years ago I slipped and fell in the shower. It was early morning and my husband had already gone to work because he was teaching a 7:30 a.m. class at the time and I knew he wouldn't be home until late afternoon. I was scared to move, afraid I might have broken something, I fell so hard. Luckily I was okay. I told him I might have been laying there all day and he would have found me when he got home from work. He said I needed to buy a non skid shower mat ... he kept reminding me until I finally did! And he said I should take the cordless phone into the bathroom with me when I shower.

I know your brother and sister in law live close by on the property but do they check in on you every day? That worries me. My youngest sister who lives in North Georgia and I were talking about that a few months ago. She is divorced and her only child is away at college. She said if something happened to her she wondered how long it would be before she could get help. She does have a lot of very close friends from church and her tennis club she sees often so hopefully someone would check on her. Her daughter was going to check in once a day but you know how that goes with kids in college ... classes, friends, work. Sometimes mom is not a priority.

Well, I need to go out and mow the lawn. Sometime I'll have to tell you about a couple of scary instances I've had on the riding mower too ... don't want to jinx myself now. LOL.

Gail Gail Gail Gail Gail . . . . what to do . . .

Sounds like me!

Lilburn, GA

Oh Gail, I hope you are doing OK.

big hugs

Kim, you're so sweet to send surprise packages! I'd send you a big hug if I could get one in a box! LOL

Here's a picture of Stubby so you can see how he's growing! Does he look happy to you? ^_^

Thumbnail by RainGazer

Gail, I'm so sorry you fell! Sounds just exactly like what something I'd do! Sure hope you're alright. I think breaking Plumerias might be a blessing in disguise, though. Here's the one that was broken in the mail on the way to me, and it's already got two growth points and looks like another one or two might pop out, too. I could never have cut it myself, but it might turn out to be an even better plant since it was broken.

Here's a picture of all three of my Plumerias. Stubby on the far right, the broken one on the far left. I can't wait to see them bloom, but don't really expect it this year. Maybe Stubby will put out just one or two flowers for me, though. LOL

Wow Amy.....Stubby looks MAGNIFICENT! I just knew you would make him happy as a clam.
He looks GREAT!
Thank you SO much for sharing an updated picture of him.......I LOVE updates :)
I'd hug ya right back.
Did you get yours yet?

Kim

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Laughing out loud at the thought of falling through all the plumerias (breaking them) before I hit the cement. I soooooo wish (because it is funny) I could take a picture of the bruise on my bu**. It is at least 3 " across. Thank goodness I am well padded.

Rain, your plumies ae looking good and you might get more (LOL) since mine broke.

Oh, my brother is in and out of the house all day long as he works down here. My sister in law and I check with each other several times a day.........she pops in here and I pop in her house. In fact, I probably bug them too much but they don't complain. Last night at 12:30 when my back was hurting so badly, I called them and Jimmy was calling at 8 this morning to see how I was doing. Otherwise, I would never live out here.............not even a possibility.

I haven't seen Jan all weekend? Has anyone else......

(Zone 1)

Oh, Nice Plumies Amy! I have (I think) 8 of them that I got in trade from Susan51. One bloomed last year, a dark burgundy flower and it was so fragrant. I put them in the ground this spring and they have sprouted leaves and look good but no blooms yet. I hope we don't have any real cold weather to kill them. A house down the road from me has a Huge Plumeria tree in their yard that has been there for years. Mine are so small that I'm afraid they will need some time to get established before they could take any real cold temps.

Gail, I knew you said your house was on the same property as your brothers but I know you have a lot of land there. So glad they are close by and pop in to check on you, or are just a phone call away if you need them! Oh ... and, today is Friday ... maybe Jan will pop in over the weekend.

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

I haven't seen Jannich all week either Gail.
I sent her a D-mail earlier this week but haven't heard anything.
I'm sure she's just being busy *lol*
I am right there with you Gail, I am SO clutzy. My daughter too. Guaranteed if I am in anything white, I'm sure to spill something on it. I have a VERY bad habit of missing my mouth when I go to take a drink. I run into tables that have been in the same spots for years. I am forever getting the corner of things rammed into my thighs. It's awful. If there is a cup of something around, I'm sure to spill it somehow. Sometimes I have SUCH a clutzy day that every single thing I touch creates a bigger mess for me than before I tried to make it better. I get so frustrated sometimes but other times laugh it off *lol*

Kim

(Zone 1)

ROFLMBO!

Kim, You have just described me to a T! I am a big clutz too. I have been known to walk way around a table so I don't run into it ... and I end up running into something else! I cannot drink a soda out of a can! It will be all over me with the first sip!

Today I was out on the pool deck, moving plants around, watering, sweeping up leaves and hosing the dirt off the deck. Well ... I must have cleaned a couple of areas three or four times. Had it looking so nice, then decided to move a plant from one spot to another (where I had just cleaned) and ended up dumping it over, dirt, mulch all over everywhere! I think I did that 4 different times on a nice clean deck! It is frustrating! I have a few new bruises from my cleaning too! Slipped on a wet step stool and banged my leg ... nothing new! Hubby asked me why I wasn't using the step stool that has rubber steps instead of the aluminum one? I said it's because it was the only one out there (the one with rubber steps was in the garage.) I bruised my other leg when I was pushing a big potted plant across the deck, again nothing new!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

It is such a shame that I would get kicked off if took a picture of my bu** and put it on here.......biggest bruise I have ever had. Good thing I have lots of padding back there.

We won't call it age that makes us clutzy because Kim is such a baby.................

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Than I should have no excuse *lol*
A baby? OMG Gail, most days I wake and feel 90 *lol* You ladies have MUCH more ambition and get go than I do that is for sure! I'm in awe at how much you two do all the time. I get exhausted just reading what you've been doing *lol*
I used to have alot of energy but I think I've become complacent and lazy lately. I need to really do something about it.

So age doesn't explain clutziness *lol*, I think it's something you either are born with or not *lol* I was lucky enough to be born with it *lol* And every year I expand on it, pretty soon I hope to be a pro *lol*

You better not put a picture of your butt on here Gail, although we would all love to see it *lol* I don't know about administration *lol* You are too cute!

Kim

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

If I hadn't already used the word bu**, no one would even know the bruise was on this particular part of the anatomy (LOL)

Hey, if you are not busy, call me..........something to discuss with you.........(I can't call her from my phone.........we don't know why......I need to call Verizon someday.........I can call anyone else in the US)
