Anyone know who these guys are and what, if anything, I should be doing about them? I found 3 of them this afternoon on my basil. Sorry the pictures aren't closer in or clearer, but it was a bit breezy and this was the best focus I could get. The little guys are maybe about 1/2" long, no wings that I saw, and interestingly colored--the "stripes" go all the way up their antennae (?).
Thanks!

Try googling pics of katydid nymphs, and/or Scudderia nymph. They sure don't look like they're hurting your basil ! What kind is that?
Definitely katydid nymphs; possibly those of a bush katydid (Scudderia spp.) - see http://www.flickr.com/photos/southwestdreams/2684690655/ for an example.
That's them, all right! Thanks, friends!
Now, should I be doing something about them?
And claypa, that's the Italian basil that critterologist was giving away as part of an SASE tutorial a while back. It's delicious!
